Profile

Ian LeProvost has over thirty five years experience in environmental impact assessment and management in coastal environments, principally in Western Australia and the Northern Territory. He has particular expertise in the oil and gas industry and with port and dredging developments. He is a graduate in Biological and Earth Sciences from Macquarie University (1971), has completed the Executive Management Programme at the University of WA Graduate School of Management (1997), and has a Postgraduate Diploma in Ecologically Sustainable Development, Murdoch University (1999). Ian has also served as a member of the Western Australian Environmental Protection Authority (2000-2), during which time he contributed to the development of the Cockburn Sound EPP, The EIA Administrative Guidelines 2002, and the EPA Guidance Statement No 29 (BPPH Protection).
